HyperNerd Says Hello
« on: December 02, 2008, 12:02:43 am »
Hello people of this website, I first played Chrono Trigger when I was 9, fell i love with it, beat it with 12 endings by 5th grade, and promptly searched for Cross. I never found it, but I still read about it on websites- primarily this one. after 5 years, I still haven't forgotton how awesome it was. Around August, I saw a post on some website, (possibly Sq.'s) Announcing CTDS. I literally exploded in surprise and happiness. ( well, not quite) I encouraged all my Friends to buy it, and even made my best friend play FF6 and get him acquainted to RPG's in preparation. When it came, it didn't disappoint. Even lacking the Nostalgia that you guys had, I still enjoyed the hell out of that game, leaving me with 52 hrs of gameplay since 11/25/08 (yes, I have no life)
I played Super Mario RPG, Paper Mario, every single Final Fantasy (save 7,8,9 and 11), Earthbound... The standard RPG's people worship and still regarded CT the best. Strangly, 11/26, I found a perfect copy of Chrono Cross at an old game store for 30 $ (The Entity Willed it!). I haven't started it yet.
Anyways, consider a(nother?) very Nerdy Fan to have joined your ranks.

( Yes, I know this is mostly ranting and has nothing to do with the topic, but i needed one of these stupid biography posts)

Welcome to the forums!

I never really played Cross either, though I recently bought it. And yes, I was so excited when I heard about CT:DS I could burst. XD

For the record, I haven't played Cross in years.

IDK how many times I've stated it in the past, but I could never get past the Hi-Ho Tank on Water Dragon Isle.

Welcome to the Compendium!  And enjoy Chrono Cross!  It's a great game - although VERY different from Chrono Trigger.  It's so different, but awesome, so don't be alarmed!

I didn't explode. Moreso ran. I didn't even think I just got up and ran to the nearest Gamestop.

Anyways welcome to the Compendium and I hope you enjoy your stay.  :)

PS: Cross is great. You'll like it, possibly love it. Once you can grasp it, the first few playthroughs it might be confusing later on...

Ouch. I had a lot of trouble on the ECA forums.

Weird. I had never heard of that before you mentioned it.
Anyways, I'm one of those people who don't like to play video games when people are watching me, and my little brother loves doing just that, so I'm biding my time until I play Cross.

By the way, when I exploded from excitement about CTDS, a paradox occured  when the Epoch crashed into a flying DeLorean, and landed on my house. Crono asked me for a Taco, I said no, and we battled to the death and he was about to kill me.... Until i gave him an egg and told him it was the Chrono Trigger. He used it and it took him to fight Lavos for the over 9000Th time where he pwned the crap out of Lavos. And then I realized this is the stupidest thing I have ever written.
That is a taste of my ridiculously stupid humor that is only sometimes funny.
If you don't like it, then skip over it. I will put up stupidity alerts every time I write something like that.

Chrono Trigger: Lavos' returns

in 65000000 BC, a huge porcupine fell from space. " WRYyYYYYYYyYYYYYyyyyy!" it shouted. Oh exscuse me. I mean "BlebaRAAAAAAAAAAAAREEEEEEHREAHEeeeeeeh...." he then proceeded to punch mankind in the face over the course of 65,001,000 years. but then a mysterious red haired hero holding a taco and his cohorts beat the living hell out of it while listening to awesome music. They then proceeded to learn the meaning of life. Its 42 SNES's in a row with Potatoes and cheese on the side. But anyways, Lavos died... But it took a terrible price... Crono's taco was stolen!!
Crono  soon demanded Magus to summon Lavos again, in the past.
Magus sighed, and asked how much he would be payed. Crono responed, " a lifetime supply of taco's!" without thinking about how to get them.
"sweet, i'm in." said Magus.
He summoned Lavos, who arragontly stood there while Crono preformed Lumainaire and Magus used Eternal Darkness.

Lavos proceeded to explode, ad it rained Tacos for a week. Unfoutunately, when the week was over, everyone was too fat to get into the Epoch...

I guess I'm a Chrono Trigger fanboy, but I've herd the word used so many times, i don't even know what it really means anymore, lol.
anyways, I don't hate Cross, as I've never played it.
Fan boy as in : Boy who is a fan.
