Chrono Trigger DS cutscene never ends

I'm going through the first gate in the game, and it won't stop showing the inside of the gate. By this I mean, it's playing Crono's Theme, and I'm in the transition between 1000 and 600, and I won't arrive at 600! Is there something I need to do?

Romana:
It's protection against piracy that kicks in at certain points during the game. You need to use particular cheat codes to bypass it. Check out the Savestate thread for Shinrin's txt file containing the codes.

Will I need to restart after putting the codes to bypass piracy in?

Nah, you shouldn't have to.
