Hey, I finally caved & started to play, too...So far I've noticed some small differences that I didn't see in the first 8 pages of this thread (I stopped reading because I sorta wanted to experience it for myself)...like equipment now has descriptions (hey, more stuff to add to the Compendium's Encyclopedia entries, hooray?)...as well as Techs (or did they originally? I forget)...

And one thing that sorta bugged me was that as soon as Crono woke up, I tried to do my usual CT start-up routine where I say 'screw you' to Crono's mom, shut the curtains and go back into bed...only to find...I couldn't get back into the bed! *shock* It's a whole new world, people! Is nothing's holy!?! :lol:

So what is the deal with that Chrono clone and merging with it?  Just a boss battle? Or was it a Chrono from another dimension with more significance that just a boss battle?

Also, thank you Dark Serge!  It was an exciting day yesterday. 

I am not disappointed by the new content, as I didn't expect it to answer all questions.  The few tidbits thrown our way certainly were juicy!

They are just...evil, IMO...You have to climb the very same mountain for countless times...

PS: This quest reminds me how chrono cross was created.

Ofcourse. Dream Devourer is about as difficult as Lavos Core, maybe a bit harder. But it's not something you would have a really hard time with.

I didn't skip all the content. Only a little part.

About those Chrono, Marle, and Lucca clones... I don't know what they are. But something of it reminds me of the Ghost Children in CC. On the other hand, they could purely boss fights put in just for the heck of it.

Didn't Queen Zeal create some clones too, back in the Black Omen?

What's up with all of these clones.

Maybe they are being pulled in from different dimensions or times...ones where Crono and crew happen to be evil...

What makes you think that. Clearly, they are leading into Chrono Cross, because the Dream Devourer wasn't "destroyed" and Magus looses his memory. The FMV of the wedding depict Lucca finding Kid, and the secret ending showing the fall of Guardia.

Agreed--this ending really canonized CC, if anything...but I wonder how many of these changes were intended or if some things were done just to quickly patch up some holes in the plot.
