Anyone interested in updating the CT DS encyclopedia page with everything contained herein and also the information presented in the last two updates (on the Arena of the Ages, Lost Sanctum, etc.)?

Pyt, if you've got a ton of free time, it's really not hard to type it out; I'm sure you've edited Wikipedia before, so you know how simple it is. I'm just too busy right now.

For flashcart owners there are cheats, and patches to remove the anti-piracy measures.

It should probably contain the info on the new boss & ending stuff (which is part of one of the Temporal Vortex, I believe) which was mentioned in that thread in Viper Manor...That hasn't been mentioned in any of the prior updates, right?

I got the fix from GBATemp, now the game is fully unlocked. I'm gonna finally play it and I'll post anything significant changes.

Btw I use R4DS with 1.18 firmware.

Edit: I also just noticed, "But... The future refused to change." has been changed to "In the end... The future refused to change."

Something interesting about the Gate Key:

Lucca: Anyways, I call these distortions "Gates"!
Lucca: They're basically portals to the same location in a different time.
Lucca: But Gates are unstable- that's why they appear and disappear all the time. So I used the principle behind my Telepod device...
Lucca: ...to create this Gate Key! It's what's locking the Gate in place.

Evidently, the Gate Key is more or less required to use Gates.

On a side note, the sprites have slightly been reworked. You don't notice it at first but it becomes obvious after a while.

I'll be grabbing this tomorrow afternoon after morning classes.

I'm helluva excited to buy it. Though I'm sure it won't be as much of a "OMGWTF" moment as it was when I bought a sealed box Japanese Chrono Trigger for the Super Famicon here. XD

Added some stuff to the wikipedia page, not sure if it's any good or not.

Jesus, how much did that cost you?

2000 yen. I get the feeling that Chrono Trigger really isn't concerned a hotly rare item here. This was more enforced when I found Final Fantasy VI copies in the same store as well.

But needless to say, it still blew my mind. I don't collect games, but I NEEDED to own CT.

This new translation is somewhat intriguing. Everyone calls Magus the Fiendlord and there's more stuff like this. It's impossible to explain all of it, but some parts are exceptionally interesting.

Quote from: Belthasar, first time in 2300 A.D.
No! You mustn't go to Death Peak! Wouldn't make it very far, anyway... It has to be the right time, and... and it has to be them, or... or the way is shut! Yes, yes...

Yup, it's actually phrased that way. Also, Johnny's "gang" no longer calls him "THE MAN". Instead this has been changed to "Bro".

Moreover, I get the feeling some of the FMV's were modified. The rats in the "Robo" FMV made a sound I can't remember from the old FMV. Also the Jetbike race had a graphical upgrade, it seems.

More facts

- After arriving in Medina 1000 A.D. it became obvious that "Mystics" are now referred to as "fiends". Meaning "Mystics" may not be a canon way to refer to them anymore.
- Some interesting facts at Medina Square

Quote from: Mystics
It was the Fiendlord Magus who gave life to the almighty Lavos to aid us. And once Lavos awakens from his long slumber, the human race is doomed.

The almighty Fiendlord delivered Lavos unto us long ago with his great magic.

Did the Mystics talk about Lavos in the original CT? Weird how they're phrasing it here.
