Just preordered a Japanese copy. Anyone else who's impatient as hell, keep in mind the Japanese version has the english script so it's very much playable.

They had an Extras Menu in the Playstation release, right? And how's the translation been so far?

Yup, and the translation seems to be more or less a polished version of the original NA script. Names and such are kept (Magus is referred to as 'Fiendlord' now though), but I can't play very far to see more due to the copyright protection so... yeah.

Pretty good from what I saw. Most of it is similar to Woolsey's, but "soda" has been changed to "drink", some tech names changed (Chrono's "Slash" to "Wind Slash"), and some item name changes.

"Tonic" to "Potion"
"Revive" to "Athenian Water"
"Heal" to "Panacea"

Not much more to say about it right now. The translation seems pretty good. But it seems they removed Glenn's shakespeare accent.

This is pretty interesting.  The music sounds better and the colors seem better.  But has anyone noticed how the SFX are a little strange?  Anyway, the script is much more polished as said, and the "Mayor's Manor" has new NPC's in there to help explain the DS features.

Ah yeah, I noticed the... enemies whose names I forgot from Guardia Forest have a new 'battle cry'.

I tried out Extras (fairly standard fun stuff) and the Arena earlier, which seems pretty interesting... Being able to alter your creature's growth by sending it to different time periods seems interesting.

By the way, aren't there two missing NPCs in Leene Square in the SNES CT? I remember one was a girl... They were in the beta. I was wondering if they were added into the DS version.

no$gba is a far from perfect DS emulator...It's pretty much the best there is, but it's not finished at all. Its save state feature only works for GBA games.

They're not longer Hetakes.  I think they're Anamita's now or something like that.

I've played up to the part where you go back to 1000 a.d. after getting marle, then you are greeted with the teleport of doom again.

Someone actually got passed the part where you go to 600 some how.

Also, emulators can pass the check where you go into the first dungeon. ;)

It's been said the US version will allow you to name characters past 5 letters, i think they left it at 5 because of the game will mostly be played by japanese people.

It wouldn't be good to import it as by the time the game gets here from japan, you'd already have a copy of the us version :D

That is odd, seeing as how their whole marketing gimmick was based around "Good morning, Crono."
