I doubt it'll work with the retranslation.  There's massive item/tech changes in there, and it might not work with it.  Then again, the item and tech changes are made completely into empty space...so it just might work.  I guess you could make a back-up of the retranslation and throw it in there to test.

I think the main problem would be with where the VWF code is placed.
Edit-The fact that the retranslation sucks up a lot of free space to make room for dialog will also clash.

The VWF menu code and the graphics itself are in a very small empty space area somewhere near the beginning.  The actual tech/item/pointers are in the 35k byte area.  The Enemy Battle Messages are in place of the old "Item Names/Tech Names"

Can you go ahead and make an item name-changeless patch? I wonder how it'd work...anyhow, it'd be more clear cut and dry for hosting in the Modification section.

All items are set back to the first English translation.  Tomorrow, I'll do this for techs and then do it with the monster names...This make take until Friday.  Not quite sure.

~Credit goes to Logitek (Friend on AIM) for help sorting these out~

Edit: O_o...I guess the Finnish version didn't do it with monster names.  I could have sworn I remember seeing that..

Edit 2: There's 2 options that I can see so far.  We can either figure out where in the world the monster names load in battle and find a way to load the menu font and the VWF routine, or we can put a VWF routine and a new font so it can load more then 11 letters in the battle window...We really don't have many options for this.

Double post type thing.  Vehek, could I posibly request some help with this?  So far the only thing I've found in the Finnish version was the Monster name pointers at 0CDA0F "F6 DF DE".  Any way we could change the font for monsters to be the menu font loaded with a VWF routine?

Edit: - CT DS font for a menu VWF routine now.
Edit 2: Fixed the spacing on x

Edit 3: Vehek, would it be possible to use part of the font switching battle in this?  Same font on every selection for battle but loads up the custom VWF placed somewhere?  That'd save a lot of trouble.

What? How does that help here? My battle font-switcher is just a modification to the old fixed-width font loading code.

Yea, I know I keep asking questions on this.  Probably my last ones if we can't get it.

Would it be possible to either alter the monster name routine to pick up the VWF menu font and the VWF routine itself?  This makes me think it's possible because the item/tech names were able to take it...Then again, that has it's own exception.

If not, is it possible to have it load up a VWF routine for battle itself?

Maybe...
I don't have anything to model it off of perfectly, since all the other uses of Biswit's VWF are with things in a list you can select.

Hm...I was worrying about that.  That's one thought I had as well...All I can see though is that the data is at 0CDCA3.  I'm thinking maybe some modification this little tidbit area could maybe do it...Still uncertain though.

Edit: While trying to figure this out as well, I'll try getting rod of some new bugs that seem to just randomly appear now.

Edit 2: - Does this look okay for the menu?  Just testing a little something.

Triple Post :/...http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=u0viUOb76-Y&feature=related - Looking at this video shows that the battle loads up a seperate font and VWF Routine possibly.  I don't think we could ever derive the code from the DS version to work into the SNES version, but this is a true example of what I was hoping to accomplish.
