Chrono Trigger real instruments?
« on: September 25, 2008, 05:11:45 am »
Is it theoretically possible for some person to make a project similar to this on Chrono Trigger?    http://digg.com/gaming_news/Super_Mario_World_soundtrack_with_real_instruments
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZK-WlWC0v7g

Or will it take up too much time and $: not to mention draining the site's server that hosts the Chorno stuff?

If I had the music knowledge and real instruments you would see me doing it on this site.

I think it will be cool to hear the Chrono Theme using real trumpets and orchestra hits that make the rhytem.   I don't have music knowledge so it wouldn't be me but maybe some day Mario Paint Composer will teach me something and I could make the Chrono Trigger theme from MP.

Here is an example of a small but now defunt project.   http://chronofan.com/Black/Music%20(Chrono%20Trigger)/CTRP/bLiNd%20-%20Chrono%20Trigger%20-%20Tyran%20Castle.mp3

BlInD I wish you would try to finish the music at least even though there is no more game then it will be a realistic version of the sound-track.    I can imagine playng CT PC.

Simple. Download MIDIs, and open them in Reason or FruitLoops or whatever. Buy or download a high quality soundfont, and substitute the instruments one by one. Congratulations; you now have high-sample CT songs.

Not to mention that this pretty much has been done. Not with the entire soundtrack, of course, but quite a bit of the songs indeed.

I alread mentioned about bLiNd but I wish he would finish the job even if there is no fan-game.   If I had real instruments and musical talent you would see me preforming and doing something about it.    There is always Mario Paint at least.

You guys could always check out Chrono Symphonic at Overclocked Remix.

And Yatsunori Mitsuda released a live jazz version of some of his more famous material.  I can't quite recall the name of the CD, but you can find it at Galbadia Hotel.

Or you can give a musical group cash and request that they perform renditions of Chrono music. Once you've done that, bam, you're a hot shot music producer. Then you might stop spending all of your time making inane posts.

EDIT: By the way, your name defies all rules of modern geometry. 4 pieces of a "Triforce" would make it a Quadforce. It's like saying "4 sided triangle" instead of a square.

Considering he doesn't know the difference between regular political conflicts and "Racism", and how he insisted on sending me a PM speaking like he was the motherfucking Messiah to me, I really couldn't care.

Hasn't the Tri-Force come in more than 3 pieces before though...? I'm no Zelda expert or anything, though...

Tri = 3.

NO. It's always been three parts. But there were 8 instruments, 7 crystals, and such.

I thought in one of them the Tri-Force was broken into multiple pieces...wait, isn't it in the first one? All pieces of the Tri-Force were still TRI-angles though...

The first game had three Triforci. Courage, Strength, and Wisdom. They were all seperate, but Link's (Courage) had been purposefully broken up by force. When repaired, it merges wit the other two.
