Attention, college students!

Anyone here ever heard of The Facebook? Rather than explain it, I'll just direct you to http://www.thefacebook.com to see if your school has a branch of the site yet. If so, add me, I'm Jarod Daily at TCU!

If your school doesn't have a branch of the site, then I'm sorry. It's really hard for me to explain The Facebook, largely because, well, it doesn't have a point.

Mm, this is just for the big colleges, right?  I go to school in the middle of nowhere X3; so sadly I can't participate.

Maybe they'll add more state universities as time goes on...

I go to an esoteric school with about 500 students. I submitted it to them, but it looks like they haven't added it. You'd think they'd make the set up more dynamic and let the engine do the work, but meh.

THREAD ZOMBIE ZOMBOR-FIED.

This thread really amused me.  I activated my Facebook when it was still thefacebook.com and was only for college students.  I can barely remember the old format.  And now it's open for everyone and their mother.

Sometimes I really miss the old (OLD) Facebook.

Whoa, it's pretty amazing that Facebook in its current form is like, a post-2005 phenomenon. For some reason I thought it was around longer!

One of Alex's friends wanted to join THE FACEBOOK when it was just college kids. He was very disappointed that the local community college was not recognized as a college. This was before Alex graduated, so he was a bit bummed about that as well. Nowadays, I think Sam is the only one who regularly uses Facebook.

Threads like this make me feel like an archaeologist rediscovering some lost aspect of human civilization. Nobody would have imagined facebook becoming the behemoth it is today back in 2005.

What about it? I honestly have no idea what that group's connection is to this site other than the title. I'm guessing one of the older, longtime Compendiumites formed the group and forgot about it.
