Or, you know, just tell the same story but with a different bunch of kids. Common sense never applies when Hollywood is involved.

Yeah, of course they do have their moments like The Dark Knight, for example. They sometimes know how to pull things off.

Noooo, oh, wait Hollywood? Okay that's better, I thought you were talking about HSM and I was about to /wrist

Seriously though, Disney pisses me off. Most people argue "<insert current Disney superstar> is making more money right now that <insert person or band with more talent>", to which I reply "Dude . . .

actually I'll just say here that, dude, Disney pops out random chicks who become singers and are popular for a short time before falling back into nothingness (i.e Hillary Duff, Miley Cyrus, ect ect). You see, it bugs me because Disney pops out their new stars whom appeal to young girls between 5-14, and then they die out, yet while these stars become popular, bands I enjoy, get guff until the Disney star dies out . . . until they pop out a new one >_>

I'm super hungry and rushing this post, sorry!

Disney seems to love men with high feminine voices and women with deep masculine voices.

I still don't get why HSM is so popular.  I saw the first one, it was alright, but nowhere near as good as the advertisements say.  I think I'm just prejudiced against musicals.  There are only like 2 or 3 I actually like.

Christ, I thought Mamma Mia was better. I don't think a movie should be called a musical if all the the songs sound the same.

It's not your prejudiced in this case, HSM is a mundane musical at best. Most of the Music is insipid and boring. Sounds almost all the same. What makes it worse is Disney hyped it like hell! Then had the nerve to make 2 more (Now take the logic that sequels tend to be worse) , not to mention an Ice Show, a stage show, and a reality show! Damn disney should just admit they suck and get this over with! All they do is make lousy pointless sequels, pop stars, and shows that you could put side by side and forget which is which.

Oh was Mamma Mia good? I didn't see it (I don't trust commercials at all) or are you saying you didn't like it, but it's still better?

It's neither for everyone nor a masterpiece, but I found it to be an entertaining passage of an hour-and-two-thirds.

Good musicals are so rare but they just never get old. Its a tie for me West Side Story and Dr. Horriables Sing-along Blog as the best of the best.

Great now I have Jonny singing "When your a Jet"....

Personally, with all the Disney hate here this will be hard to believe but Lion King is my favorite musical. West Side Story 2nd.

The Lion King was great.

Quote from: Wikipedia
Scar is widely regarded to be one of the greatest Disney villains of all time. Scar's role in the story is based on that of King Claudius in Hamlet while his personality is reminiscent of Iago from Othello whilst also bearing some allegorical resemblance to Nazi dictator, Adolf Hitler.
You can't get more bad-ass then Scar.
