Some computer help
« on: July 05, 2008, 01:53:34 am »
Ok, I am having some problems, they could only be minor.

I need help accessing my other hard drive, here's the problem:

I had Ubuntu on my second, and apparently the boot menu thing was saved to my primary hard drive, I think the partition might have been too, because when I had reformatted it, and even when the secondary was plugged in, it wouldn't show it.

But Ubuntu is still on it, and I can't access it. It doesn't show up in Windows, but it does in the Ubuntu Live disc, but it says it cannot be mount.

I would really appreciate some help, because all my songs are on that drive, and some other things I backed up. I would like a way that would require to NOT format anything.

Try 'switching' the Slave(second) drive to Master and you should be able to access it, I think...

I think I've might have done that, but I can't remember. I'll try it.

It's not just the manor of accessing it, I also need to get those files off there and on to my other hard drives.

So your trying to copy the files if I am not mistaken?

If so try accessing and if you can't get them out after accessing try putting em on a disc.

I still haven't accessed the hard drive, but I think I might have found a solution.

EDIT & LOCKED!: YES, I found a program that was easy to use.
