CT Demo - Pro Action Replay Area Fixes
« on: January 08, 2005, 07:18:21 am »
I quickly went through the location data and fixed the rooms that crash.  The 3 digits at the end are the room #s for a location mod code.  Ex: Cathedral 082 would be 7E010082, 7E010100.  Tyrano Lair 12B is 7E01002B, 7E010101. Etc.  Enjoy.

Locations are 2 bytes.  00 and 01 switches between the two sets.  The second set is the one that ends in the OW maps.

The Death Peak layout is interesting, with an extra cave and another path before the summit.

Notes:

Though Cathedral 82 does not load a Crono and is somewhat glitched, loading Cathedral 83 and then using the exit in the lower part of the map allows you to explore 82 without a hitch.

The upper left corner of Death Peak F5 leads to a strange cave with a chest inside. This cave's offset is 0EE.

Ocean Palace 9D only displays a black screen.

What was the glitch with Cathedral 082?  I did not encounter any problems with it.

I checked Ocean Palace 19D.  The code is working, but there appears to be no map for that area.

Edit: I added a fix to a broken Kajar room to the correct spot in the original post.

Added the corrections to the wiki (first edit)  BTW, what qualifies as a minor edit for the "Check box if this is a minor edit" - just typos and formatting fixes?

Nothing really; I'm actually not sure of its purpose at Wikipedia either. I'll investigate the Cathedral tomorrow.

The only purpose of checking the minor edit box is that when someone is viewing past edits on a page, they can choose to not view minor edits.

This might sound to be stupid, but how do I use these? ^_^;

Edit:... Uh, nevermind that. Soon as I posted, I figured out what I was doing wrong. *baka* ^_^;
