Yes I saw these on DeviantArt awhile back.  I'm still tempted to hack Schala as playable...but I want to do that as the 8th character =[

It's not possible to put an 8th playable character in though is it?

Probably not without more effort than it's worth... which I believe is why he hasn't done it yet...at least I think he hasn't....

Yeah you're right probably to much effort involved I was just thinking of replacing one of the other playable characters. (Robo perhaps he's just a useless tin can anyway)

RoxSilverFox, there is much to be said for using awesome artwork to inspire hackers to figure out whatever is needed to implement said artwork. "Sprite it, and they will come..."

In other words, if we've got a kickass Schala sprite set, I think a number of technical helpers would flock to dissecting sprite assembly. I think Geiger's NA Offset Guide has the sprite assembly data locations, so we're really just several hours' worth of experimenting away from figuring it out. In fact, I think someone already created a character sprite editor that allows the user to assign one player character's sprite assembly to another character, so at the very least the location of each player character's sprite assembly must be recorded somewhere.

Oooh, and jsondag2 has the tech editing covered. We could have Schala casting "Dreamless" in no time flat.

EDIT: Whoa, I like the dress. I am floored by your ability to come up with that so quickly.

Not quite what I had in mind, but I think that would work, anyone else have an opinion...?

I'd say go with it if you think it's within your power.

Well I suppose it'd be within my power but it could take me an eternity.

"Dissect" sprite assembly? What do you need to do that for?

Wow, looks like Vehek already got the sprite assembly totally figured out! So whatever you come up with should be technically doable. Only thing I worry about now is Schala's tileset possibly being so large as to run into other characters' data. Hopefully that can be rectified with some pointer adjustment if needed.

The only Schala sheet I have is in her normal zealian outfit...Also, we're going to have to change her hair a bit.  It looks really strange with such a small body and BAM, a huge ass head of hair.

@FaustWolf: Sprite Assembly has been figured out for ages now xD.  And no, if she's replacing Robo, believe me you ahve a shitload of room and more.  Schala's width is only 2 maybe 3 at times, robo is 3 all the time with 4 areas of 256 blocks of 4x4...You have enough room to last you a bit.

I may at some point mess with schala's sprites, but for now my Zeal map is more important to me...
