my first dojinshi fanart work
« on: April 20, 2008, 10:52:21 pm »
:lee:  first submittion by me! it is a "modern day" serge with an older Draggy on his back. Plain yes, but yeah, draggy looks hardcore lol. as i should remeber the picture took 25 minutes to draw.   what do you guys think? was making a modern day serge and evolved draggy a bit to much. did it completely take away from serge's original charater. tell me what you like and dislike (other than it being a sketched peice of work; i dont have a tablet or photoediting software yet sorry.) :D

Nothing wrong with reshaping or re-interpreting a character. I'm only an observer (i.e., can't draw), but consider myself a connoisseur of fanarts. As such it impresses me, especially the glossiness of Serge's eyes.

Any significance to that necklace-thingy he's wearing? Or did Serge wear that in-game?

It pretty good, although serge looks a little too lightweight, and lean.

Judging from Chronomage's sig art, looks like the lankiness is consistent across characters, so it may just be the style itself. Though I guess Kid and Harle were very thin anyway. Man, would these characters be banned on French runways?

The signature isn't Chronomage's artwork.

Yup... Look on the lower right hand corner.  "Illustrated by ... "

Okay, part of me feels like a doofus, but the other part is celebrating the fact that my misunderstanding has led me to look up this art site:

If there is ever to be another official Chrono game, I vote Charles Park for illustrator - possibly running Akira Toriyama character designs through his own uber stylishness, turning Goku and Bulma clones into pure awesomeness.

Serge and Draggy are adorable honestly.

As for Chris, he is a very talented artist. I wouldn't mind seeing characters done by him.

Fair enough. I don't think anyones mad though. Just please re-size it; it's too large for this forum.

Yeah dude, it's cool.  You never SAID or even implied that you made the sig.

I think I was the only one who thought the sig belonged to you, Chronomage. My bad, not yours.
