Dragon King Palace
« on: March 14, 2009, 02:29:13 am »
I read this page several minutes ago and wondered this place was actually an undersea structure(since you can't catch a fish in a structure like Fort Dragonia), perhaps the submerged Terra Tower in legend.

According to Chinese legend, the oceans are ruled by 4 dragon kings: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon_king
Similar story can be found in Japanese mythology: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dragon_Palace

Maybe it has to do with Korcha's relationship with that mermaid person? Didn't he catch fish for her/him/whatever? idk, he's just the real fisherman of the group so that's who it made me think of...

This sounds more like you intended it to belong in the 'Reality, Real-World-Connections and Supernatural' analysis forum...

Heh, when I re-read this topic I feel it is a bit pointless.
I feel it is more like a legend than a actual place in game. The fishermen here usually talk about the Dragon Kings, they hope he'll bless them a good harvest and safe navigation, more uperstitious ones even offer sacrifices. Maybe that is also quite natural for the people in a small village like Aruni(consider it is not a quite modern society).
