Not a flying car. We aren't in the new millennium until we have flying cars ;)

Anywho, it is an interesting concept, though I will be quite interested in if it catches on. After all, Virtual Reality was supposed to be the next bit thing... what, about 15 years ago?

I would also be interested to see how such an interaction system would effect brain development. People who grew up with computers as a central component of their lives have been shown to think in a different manner than older individuals.

VR5 was an amazing show, if anyone here remembers that show.  Too bad it only lasted a season.

I think we're VERY close to a flying car.

Good lord I hope not. Most people can't drive in two dimensions, let alone three. If the average person had a flying car, I think that would solve the population problem real quick.

Don't worry my plans for a Moon base have been well underway since 2005. It's only a matter of time.

As for the other posts, I don't see that virtual reality head-set thingy being all that amazing. But who knows, maybe it will bring the future of video games after all.

As for the chip in my head, I'd definitely have to say no to that.
Doc-Oc anyone?

After the abysmal failure of the Virtual Boy from Nintendo, I don't think virtual reality will catch on for at least a couple of generations.  :(

Yea but you are not staring into anything, nor a red field of death that caused headaches etc...
Virtual Boy =/= what this thing can do from what I've seen.

If VB wasn't all red and gave headaches, I think it would have done a lot better. But eh, I probably still wouldn't have gotten it. SO maybe you are right after all.

Put simply: it slaughtered the concept and left the whole genre with a bad rap that won't go away easily. It was just too early for its time...

Virtual reality things are perfect for this time...although if they make things to "real", then people could get confused and/or not want go back to the "real" world, and there would be a lot of controversy...just like making machines smarter, and think on their own.
