I got motion sickness. It is definitely not for a delicate stomach, half the theater left in the begging. But that was the only flaw with the movie, in fact it was one of the best I have seen in a long time. It was to bring home the sense of chaos and confusion that people in that situation would experience, and it do so quite well. I really enjoyed the film, and I was at no point sick because of the camera work. Just realize it's going to be that way, and you'll be fine. I can't bring my self to talk about the movie itself just because I do not in any way wish to spoil it for any one. And it was too short. Logged MagilsugaM CC:DBT Dream Team Time Traveler (+800) Posts: 814 Never say never... Nothing is impossible... Screw Cloverfield & King Kong, baby! The monster shows up in the first 10 minutes! It's a great combination of comedy, dramatic horror & even a touch of satire. I don't want to overplay the comedy elements, which ARE great, but it's like the Korean equivalent of a Shaun of the Dead for monster movies. As soon as they showed Kang-ho Song, who plays the oldest son, sleeping at the helm of their little shop I instantly knew two things: 1) he's gonna be the hero, definitely and 2) I'm gonna absolutely love this movie. And I did! You should too! One of the super crazy things about it is how much it seems like guerrilla film-making, since they weren't a Hollywood movie. For instance, a lot of the movie involves sewer sequences...and since they couldn't just make a whole bunch of sets (or maybe they wanted reality too?), they actually went down into some Korean sewers to film! O_o There's a part on the DVD that goes over their time in the sewers...it's really quite disturbing to think about. Plus, it's not filmed in a stupid Blair Witch perspective either! HA! I take it you didn't like Cloverfield. I won't completely judge it until I do...but I just don't like some of the ideas of it, mostly...like I said...*shrugs*And, really? I thought The Host had some really dramatic moments as well. When the girl makes that run for the rope was probably one of my favorite scenes. Logged Flash of Green Earthbound (+15) Posts: 29 What lies in the furthest reaches of one's memory? Seriously, I haven't been this scared by a movie since I watched "It" when I was, what, 11?I had to cling to my fiancee for dear life.Old news? It doesn't really scare you, just gets you tense with all the shaky camera, shaky ground thing.
