"Gah! You can't fight Lavos....without a magic user!!!" Grabs a Scythe "Some one has to use a Scythe mwhahahahaha..."

Me= Worst Magus substitute ever......

"Wait one second thought."

Black Omen thing rises.

Me= Make great crazy villain who serve Lavos!

"Ride the big tick mwhahahahahahaha!"
-

On a serious note.....I highly doubt there's a Lavos hiding in the earth....everyone knows he comes up in 1999AD and since he didn't he's not there!
UNLESS 2012! Yes mwhahahahaha! (A joke on the fact that the new big year for the end of the world is 2012 last time I heard! People are fascinated about the end of the world...so maybe you shouldn't tempt Lavos to rise and kill us all!)

Then again, there's nothing proving it ISNT true....

But what someone said earlier in this thread, that Lavos is in a little bit of all of us; I definitely agree with that.

True enough, but the onus still lies with proving it.

I think it's more like history of the Chrono Trigger world resembles our own.

You could say that Lavos doesn't exist in our world, but one of the big morals of the Chrono series is that there's a little Lavos in all of us. In today's society(as face issues like global warming, war, etc.), you could make a case that Lavos is alive and well in our hearts.

Sorry for the soapbox :p
Then, Lavos is allegoric symbol of the evil? Like Sauron in "Lord of the Rings"? I has this idea.
May be, Lavos embodies dark side of human nature, and Schala - light side? In Crono Cross Lavos and Schala merge in one entity, like the evil and the good merge in our hearts.

Kletian, Ozzie exists! :D

i know i´ve met him =D http://i56.photobucket.com/albums/g161/Paging/Ozzy.jpg

well, i think Lavos exists D= be careful, a little more years and he will awake O_O
if u need a Fire Innate Magician, just ask for me in the End of time =D

I must say that this is interesting, but in fact not true. 1999 already passed... maybe in 2012 when the mantle shifts a pocket will form where Lavos can come out.

Of course Lavos exists in the real world!

...as bits of information contained in every Chrono Trigger cartridge, CD, and ROM on the planet.

UNLESS 2012! Yes mwhahahahaha! (A joke on the fact that the new big year for the end of the world is 2012 last time I heard! People are fascinated about the end of the world...so maybe you shouldn't tempt Lavos to rise and kill us all!)

It always fascinates me, people's obsession with the end of the world. Not to make this thread take a philosophical turn, but first mankind thought the sun was the center of the universe, and then they thought the earth was, and finally when both were proven thoroughly wrong humans decided they could at least take solace in the belief that obviously they were the most important beings in the universe, thus removing anthrocentrism from heliocentrism and geocentrism and making it into it's own absurd worldview...

And consequently, since people believe that they are the most important creatures in existence, they think that surely the universe would attempt to eradicate them in one apocalypse or another. Will the world end eventually? Absolutely. But anyone who buys into theories of armageddon is a complete and total fucktard. I can't wait until 2012 when the lines in the super markets will stretch around the block again because of people trying to stock up on water/spaghettios/tinfoil/condoms in preparation for the final hours.

I was thinking about this the other day. How about when Zeal falls. The "enlightened ones" . Anybody ever hear of the ancient Library of Alexandria? That library was full of all recorded knowledge. When it was destroyed we lost everything, and basically plunged us into a "dark age".

We do not know wheather Lavo's can exist in our world or not.  Hell he may be different then the game as this is real-world physics compared to in-game limitations.
