Well I do admit that poking holes in an illogical argument is fun, but that isn't the issue here. The issue is keeping things canon and not treading on canon anymore than you have to, and when you do tread on canon, you do so only for, say, things like the well thought out Chrono Compendium theories on Time Error, Time Traveler's Immunity, and the like. And if you add some sort of expansion to the game, do not go against canon, but go with it and enhance what exists. Making up some backstory for Crono, for instance, is pretty easy as he has no canon background. But if you want to enhance, say, Lucca's background, don't ignore what she already has in her background. By working with the canon rather than against it, you make a much better enhanced game.
