X-2 Zanarkand = Enhansa/Zeal?

Throughout my playing of FFX & FFX-2, I noticed similarities to the Chrono series (mostly minor things I had already heard about like "OMG Sin=Lavos!" [his final form kinda reminds me of the Lunar Dragon too, I might add]), but none struck me as much as when I re-entered the Zanarkand ruins in X-2...Maybe it's just my ungifted ear, or maybe it's just because similar (the same?) instruments are used, but the new Zanarkand theme immediately reminded me of the Zeal theme (I thought Enhansa though...is there a different theme when you're there? Man, it's been a long time since I played CT).

What's everyone else think?

We could talk about the other similarities between the two series as well, but this one's stood out the most to me...

The instruments and style are strikingly similar; however, I think it's just a case of Square using similar sound fonts. For instance, the first time I heard the intro of Cornelia's theme (town, not the castle) in the FF1 remake for the PSX, I swore that it was Arni Village from Chrono Cross.

If I remember correctly, the Mushroom Rock Road music in FFX-2 somewhat resembles Chrono's theme.

Noriko Matsueda was the composer for FFX-2, along with Takahito Eguchi. Noriko was an apprentice composer at the time of Chrono Trigger. She had composed one song with Mitsuda and Uematsu's help. Maybe her style has since been influenced by Mitsuda because of this. Who knows?
