What to do

If you haven't noticed, head to the Encyclopedia and click the most recent addition, the Music (Chrono Trigger) page. It still needs a fair amount of work, but I'm having issues on what to do with this page:

http://www.rpgamer.com/games/chrono/ct/ctdm.html

RPGamer is notoriously messy, and I'm pretty sure that can't even be accessed from the frontpage. Nonetheless, its a resource thats worth looking into somewhat.

Should I rip all their stuff and host it here? Should I direct-link them and fear unreliability? I wonder what's legal.

Legal? So, no contact with the people of RPGamer?

Also, will the music section also have links to ReMixes and the like (I couldn't get to the RPGamer link, so sorry if that's what's there)?

Yeah. I had an hour and thirty minutes of pure, undistracted time at a college library yesterday -

I made it very easy for Chrono fans to dive into the remixing scene if they've never experienced it before. Those RPGamer mixes aren't very large in size, and some are worth interest.

Alright, next on my problem agenda is the fact that Chronicles, while missing some aspects of our own Music organization, has the feature of viewing individual track information, which includes facts such as

-ReMixes of a particular track
-Who composed it (relevant to Chrono Trigger)
-What albums it can be found on

While I'm reluctant to simply copy this system and build it myself, it may just be the best way to do things, and thus unavoidable. Any bright ideas that may give us originality?

I think the music information setup we have now is pretty good - personally, I don't see much of a reason to change it. Keeping tabs on remixes of each track would prove to be pretty difficult, wouldn't it? It would be cool to be able to lookup a track and see if a remix of it had been made, but I think there are probably other ventures more worthwhile.

Yeah, I think it'd be cool to know what CT tracks the ReMixes are of. Sometime the names, although colorful, aren't exactly reflective of the original work's title...

You should try to e-mail anyone you can get in touch with individually to see if you can get permission to host their music.
