Sephiroth isn't flesh. Sephiroth is will.
And Kadaj etc were the remnants of that will, given form by the lifestream. And Kadaj failed.
That's incorrect. Kadaj, Yazoo and Loz were conglomerations o JENOVA's cells, each having the potential to "express Sephiroth" by contacting a remnant of JENOVA. As long as the JENOVA's cells spreaded throughout the lifestream exist, the will of Sephiroth is alive. So, basically, you could say that as long as the world lives, Sephiroth also does. And, perhaps, beyond, if he ever takes an individual form again and finally sets sail through the universe until he finds his Promised Land.
