This just in there was a Chrono Trigger reference on the hit NBC tv show Heroes.

Do tell!

(I don't watch Heroes or anything, but I really want to know the reference.)

I got a newsletter sent to my e-mail by Amazon Japan. A Piano Solo Score Book will be released for Chrono Trigger on November 20th.

http://www.amazon.co.jp/gp/switch-language/product/4636849841/ref=dp_change_lang?ie=UTF8&language=en_JP

Price:     ¥ 1,995 (Tax Included)
92 pages
Publisher: ヤマハミュージックメディア; 菊倍 edition (2009/11/20)
ISBN-10: 4636849841
ISBN-13: 978-4636849844
Release Date: 2009/11/20

Now, note this: the scan of the cover is HUGE, if anyone can decrypt Amazon's Japan code, you'll get a kickass resolution pic.

I don't know, but this is kinda weird o.O it's been years since they released a Chrono score book.

About $23.

Quite reasonable, seeing how one can't find a free sheet music site providing quality scans of the individual scores.

Nice price drop. I think I paid 50 for mine. Something exorbitant like that... it was a while ago. http://csd.varlew.net/ct/ctsheet.php someone's scanned the entire original book there.

Yeah, I've seen this site before.

Very resourceful for the piano-eager among us... like me.

1) I didn't know Masato Kato had a Twitter, that's pretty cool and might actually convince me to get an account. Also, apparently he's a Ghost in the Shell fan.

2) I love the guy, but seriously, this statement is jaw-droppingly retarded.

Damn, nice find, especially with Twitter. We'll have to get something translated asking if he'd ever like to speak with the Chrono Compendium and send it over. I'll try to make a news update tomororw unless someone beats me to it.

Haha, great find gatotsu! Kato's choice of "masa" as a Twitter screen name strikes me as a secret message to the Chrono community that he's still interested in the franchise, but perhaps it's best not to read into it too much.

We can have a weekly "Translate Kato's Tweet!" contest!

It'd have to be more than weekly - he seems to update several times a day.

Also, I'd guess that "Masa" is just short for "Masato", but hey, a fan can dream. And hasn't he (or was it Mitsuda?) said that he's still interested in the franchise?

That's right, Masa and Mune were "Grand" and "Leon" in the Japanese script. Heh.

No wonder, check his art work (RD or CT), he always signed the kanji '正/masa' in a square, which looks like 囸 (an alternate form of 日).
