my problem with let's plays besides the commentary (prefer silence, just the game audio) is in games like CC there are so many variables. you'd have to watch like 6 of them to fully appreciate the replay values in those games.

  Well, I've met a gal who openly admitted she loves me. I love her as well, and we're engaged. I know it's a bit sudden, but it was love at first sight. She's in another state right now, but will be here where I am in two or three months. The only downer is that a friend of mine is mad about it. I've put that part in the Stuff You Hate thread, so if you want to know what it's about, look there. I love this gal so much, I can't wait until we're married.

Those little magical moments that come with being a writer: sitting down with a cup of black coffee that must have come straight out of some scummy local river, yet one of your characters comes up with the perfect line that obliterates your writer's block; wandering through a completely boring museum, yet your mind reaches out and snaps up things for period authenticity. These are the epitome of happiness for me.

Nausicaa's my favorite but Totoro is a really close second. In fact, no, they're completely tied. Totoro gets all the cute points and Nausicaa gets all of the coolcreepyweirdawesomelore points.

I've worked my ass off for 2 whole years trying to save up my salary for a cheap Android phone (yes, even a cheap one is that expensive to me), but often those savings were poured down a rabbit whole when circumstances arose. When I finally thought I could gather enough to finally get one before quitting my current work for exams, I realized that a friend was coming to visit me.

Meaning? My dream of getting an Android phone for productivity dwindled; sure, my parents told me to be selfish and get the phone, but I instead decided to use my hard-earned savings to enjoy my time with that special friend.

But you know what's the bright side? My good friend is coming, that's what! Tomorrow's the day, and I need to cross the city to pick her up! A whole day will be spent in traveling back and forth alone, but it's all worth it.

Why do I get the feeling that the month of September's gonna be so awesome? Yet, at the same time, I feel that this month of September will be the only time I'll feel truly "alive".
