The BBC. Really, what other major network broadcasts children's bedtime stories? Sure, they air rubbish from time to time, but there is a certain amount of class to the network.

Daww, not everything in BBC One/Entertainment is bad! D= It's got some awesome shows like Life One Mars, Sherlock and Torchwood (and not to mention, Thought and Fafnir's favourite Doctor Who).

Parkour is THE shit! Unfortunately it's illegal here.  :(

Quote from: Chulbul "Badass" Pandey
I'll put so many holes in ya that you'd be confused where to breathe from... and where to... fart from. *giggles like a school girl*

So explain to me exactly how giggling like a school girl is even remotely manly.
XDDD Wrong question. The question should be, why isn't it manly? The answer would be: it's interesting, that's why. The dude's friggin badass! And yet he loves to laugh at his own lame jokes like a shy school kid just delivering a funny, yet cool sounding, dialog. But seriously, that's the only non-manly thing he does in the movie.

Why is it interesting, you say? Think of it this way. Sometimes people get bored watching generic badasses (which is why many comics exist of Magus hugging bunnies). What's in today? The ruthless motherfucker called The Master from Doctor Who likes watching Teletubbies when he's destroying planets. The insane, genius, criminal master mind Opal Koboi loves truffles (she's addicted to them) when she watches her enemies burn.

Chulbul Pandey? As his name implies ('Chulbul' means cheerful, happy-go-lucky, and fun loving) challenges badguys, no matter how tough and well armed they are, dares against those odds, kicks ass and enjoys every friggin moment of it. With style. And lame jokes (which only he and his Havaldars laugh at). Hell, there was even scene of him dancing while on raid! A bad-ass mofo who knows how to have a good time?  I'm sold!

So here's some love and frustration mushed together because I want to streamline thoughts and am too f'n lazy to make multiple posts.  For starters, Conan is on right now.  And Kevin Hart is on tonight.  This equals happiness.  If you haven't seen Kevin Hart, you should.

Clue opens in two nights.  Yiiiikes.  Don't want to sound like an asshole (which of course means that's exactly what I'm about to do), but these other actors are driving me crazy.  Still line issues and bullshit that shoulda been gone already.  Where I'm flying through 15 pages of pretty much a monologue others are screwing up you know a single line, which quite frankly is a large cue or this or that or the other.  The rehearsals were not run efficiently.  Still, we're coming together as a group and I found myself becoming excited as I was explaining things to someone.  Maybe it's been the ridiculous journey (people dropping and last minute issues etc etc etc)

Which brings me to my hilarious love life.  At least I'm trying to convince myself that it's hilarious.  Mixed signals.  Shit's weak.  The shit changes every day and I DON'T LIKE IT ONE BIT!  I wish I was one of those people that could that nonsense just roll off.  I'm not.  I just saw a preview for Cedar Rapids literally right now.  Isaiah Whitlock (Clay Davis) just pulled and Omar impression referencing the Wire...even though he was on that show and was forever immortalized with

:shee

Anyway, yea that shit is weak.  Dating bs, not Clay Davis.  He's awesome.

Speaking of awesome, new clips for y'all from a killer show in January.

It's -1 outside right now.  Yes.  I love cold weather / winter / snow / wind so much.

Hate me if ya want and call me crazy, but I don't get on your case and think you're ridiculous if you love summer and 99 degrees and muggy August days (all of which I can't stand).  So come on now.  8)  I have my beloved freezing cold weather now, and you'll get your beloved spring in a few months.

Hehe, funny you say that, as I have met quite the bunch who also like the cold and stuff. Although, I live in a desert. Then again, there are temperatures on both sides of the thermometer around the year, but only the heat goes unliked, go figure.. Makes me wonder if I'm really the only one that likes summer over here...

Well most of my friends can't stand any kind of cold weather, so you're in good company.  :)  Do deserts get really, really cold at night?  I heard that from someone who lived in Saudi Arabia for a while, but I've never lived in a desert so excuse my ignorance.

The funny thing is, I grew up in the Philippines and loved the years I spent there and miss that country so much.  75 degrees there is seriously cold, and the humidity is almost always 94% or something.  So I think it's amusing that I love cold weather so much, yet the vast majority of my life was spent on tropical islands.  :P

Out of curiosity, what aspect of the cold do you like?

Personally, there is little better for me than to wake on a Saturday morning, to know that it is freezing just on the other side of the blankets, and to snuggle down further and contentedly bask in the warmth.

A close second to the wintery wonders is the ice storm. Aye, it sucks to drive in, but to cover the world in ice is a beautiful thing.

Though do not get me wrong, the unexpected overnight snow is quite breathtaking as well, but that is a beauty that demands proper romping.

A sunny sky is desolate, brutal, empty. The hot air is stifling, suffocating, enervating. It antagonizes the body--especially mine. My poor circulation and high metabolism cause my torso to overheat quite spectacularly, which is why you'll regularly see me in a t-shirt and gloves on a rainy day.

The clouds have a life of their own. I will never tire of watching their adventures from underneath--or sometimes from within! They give meaning to the sky. The rain brings with it some of the most peaceful sounds and smells in the world. The snow, utter silence and the coziest of sensations for those with a roaring fire indoors, or at least a nice blanket. The cold brings the human body alive, forces it to work for its warmth. The cold is to the human body what night is to a human city: It draws out that which lies within.

Nowhere is the inner power of a human being called to finer form than in the adversity of gray and white. Nowhere is nature in finer form than in the midst of its awesome best.

You can have the sunny days, Mister Shine.
The rest are mine.

God, damn, I'm in love with the soundtrack, style, and general epic feel of Tron: Legacy. Jeez, I haven't been gripped by some fictional world like this in a while. I saw the movie twice (a huge rarity for me, since seeing a movie twice in close succession feels like wasting time) and I just can't stop loving and thinking about that style. It's so sleek, clean, and...

Perfect.

Well next to J's amazing answer mine just seems lame.

**i think its purty!**

But seriously, I think winter is the most beautiful season.  There is something quiet and incredibly peaceful about a grey sky in the middle of January and when it snows the world looks clean and refreshing.  Cold weather just makes me very happy.  Call me crazy, but I like being cold.  I like walking through snow and shivering.  I get cold very easily, and I like it that way.  I like the sensation of warming up underneath a comfy blanket after walking through icy wind.  It's a lot easier (and a lot more comfortable, I think) to get warm if you're cold than to get cold if you're hot.

And I don't like being hot, at all.  It makes me physically very uncomfortable.  Like J said, I find hot hair to be stifling.  Winter just seems more fresh to me than summer or the dreaded spring (I seriously hate spring).  The air is easier to breathe.  I swear, I have the opposite of Seasonal Affective Disorder.  I become seriously depressed when the snow starts to melt and when trees start to bloom.

That's probably the biggest reason--warm weather makes me depressed, and I remain in that state of slight depression from April until October or so.  I automatically perk up when the leaves start to fall, and I become overjoyed during the first snow.

So there you go.  Cold weather is better for my mental health, and it's also incredibly beautiful.

^^^ I agree with both of you. Especially if you're stuck in the city, a hot summer day can be just gross... reason to stay inside with the blinds closed and a fan on. I always liked this quote as far as -isms about the weather go.
Quote
"Autumn, season of dying nature, of melancholy, of seeking the past, was best for writing obituaries. Winter, joyous in itself - bracing frost, snow sparkling in the sun - was good for living." ~ Andrei Kurkov, 'Death And The Penguin'

As an aside, J, if you ever have the chance you should try to get caught in a Texas thunderstorm. These tend to happen in the summer, when it is unreasonably hot and humid, but the cloudwork on display, I think, is impressive and it might be something you would enjoy. Although, if one is claustrophobic then I suppose not; the rain comes down solidly enough so as to seem like one is in a small room, rather than out of doors.

I just found out that one of my new friends loves the Chrono series.  Yay, another awesome girl who likes Chrono!  :D
