Such a temptation I cannot resist, as good, amazing music is a drug that I am addicted to.

The soundtrack for the PS2 game Dragon Ball Z3 (which I've never played, but whose OST I accidentally acquired) is amazing for several reasons:

  • Features Tower of Power horn section (I...I just couldn't believe it)
  • Rhythm section featuring Steve Lukather, Simon Phillips, and Mike Porcaro (in essence, the band Toto's current line-up)
  • Has incredible production values
  • Initial song sung by the guy who did the incredible springtime of youth opener ~Smile Again~ for Goemon's Great Adventure
  • Packed with tracks both funky and edgy that just bleed infectious, constructive, awesome energy
  • Track 8 is a schizophrenic remix of Bad Dog, No Biscuit! from Cowboy Bebop, which was insane to begin with

God, I can't get enough. It's like a drug for intensity. I feel absolutely inspired. I need to go build something or learn something or create something with agog alacrity and burning passion! Get this OST by any means.

Annnnnnnnnnnd just got it, love it. Also has a ton of nostalgia value to me considering I owned this game a few years back.

One of JAM PROJECT's singers doing the vocal songs for these games is always just amazing.

Live jazz!  My music scouting last night led me to an amazing free concert today.  Some pretty big names showed up and had an open-mic jam session at this small bar that just opened up.  The pianist had me on the edge of my seat every time he soloed.  Hah, the drummer actually made me teary-eyed, he was so amazingly fluid and lively.  God, I only wish there had been dancing to top it off.

Today started off well!

I made this post for a LOVELY reason

As to not interrupt my stoned status, I am editing:

I just got walked up to by a guy in my dorm, asking me if I knew crimson echoes...

...then he said he was playing it, and that he got it off some torrent.

...unfortunately I asked where from but he didnt show me (so I couldz report it, duh!)....

*shrug* oh well...

Wow, I wish I was a sun stoner! But doesn't that only last one post? I don't like the icon I have now. I wonder what I'll get when I get up to 500. I liked my pretty little green thingy I had before ;_;.

D&D just started again!
We're doing the 4th ed Eberron setting, and our group is down two people this time. We started at level 2 and I've got this seven year old Tiefling Sorcerer named Lucky (she's not very lucky), with a bat familiar named Jaki. So far we've had two encounters; both our tanks got knocked unconscious twice, and I killed two boss-ish creatures and a ton of minions. I love being a striker.

I love DnD... even though my group disbanded back in April and I wont have a chance to play again till spring (probably a solo-campaign with my wife).

I also love campaign world building. Saddly, I tend to do more of that than actually playing in said worlds.

While I was watching some AMVs, specifically the Video Game Projects (of which only the 3rd, 2005, was any good besides all of the oldschool commercials...2004 & 2005 both have Chrono Trigger AMVs though...some of the AMVs on their site are NSFW, but not the Game Project ones), when I came across one of my favorite Tina/Terra's theme OCRs that I had forgotten about!

Eres Des Points (Final Fantasy VI) by DJ Crono/Jovette Rivera. Why the hell is there so many awesome remixes of this theme?

That sounds awesome...I miss going to live jazz each week, I gotta find a good hole-in-the-wall here for that...
