I think the difference in the moral perspective that a lot of women have a problem with is that they think a woman shouldn't have to be thought of as solely a sexual object. I agree, so our moral perspectives do not differ much. But I would say, women are very sexual objects. They are the sexual object. Exploiting that fact is just exploiting truth. Doesn't one of Hugh Heffners' personal babes on that show The Girls Next Door have two masters degrees or something? She's obviously intelligent. But she's also hot. Exploit both while you can I say.

What about the women that don't care that they're thought of as sex objects? I mean, it goes both way with women idolizing men in much the same way. Except, you don't really get much protest from the guys about it. We're easy and we know it. Women just like to pretend that sex isn't an important factor in peoples lives. Love, not lust. great sentiment and one I agree with, but that's not going to stop me from picking up the one night stand when it comes along.

Yes, exactly. I think the people who take a feminist perspective like that say "well those girls that like being exploited have been corrupted by views of our male-dominated society". To which I say - "b-b-b-bullshit".

Personally, I think girls showing off their parts in porn is okay. So long as they aren't forced into it. I wouldn't do it, but that's just me. Although I do hear it's good money...

But then he looks up some porn on the internet, gets his jollies off, and changes his mind. Porn saves lives. I'm sure it's not the first time either. The world is most definitely a better place because of porn."
I really wouldn't give the credit to porn, it could have been anything. Maybe he was going to go postal due to porn and his lack social skills. I not disagreeing with the stance completely but I think that was a poor example to give your wife.

No offense taken, because I agree with you. She's very woman empoweringy or whatever. I say, what's more empowering than being beautiful and having millions of guys fantasize about you all the time? All the while you are taking their money. Same goes for strippers.
I could name many things I find more empowering, you may disagree though just as your wife did. The idea she said was that the set of morals she, and many others, follow isn't the same as one who is a model or stripper. You on the other hand do understand and embrace the concept as do many more people. So once again you were talking past her, accepting your POV but defending it, as if it was some truth when it was just that a POV.

I secretly think my gf's main problem with it is that she doesn't like me looking at it and jerking it to hot porn chicks. To which I would respond "would you rather me just cheat on you in real life?". But that would probably get me slapped.
Is that a problem? I myself would consider that completely normal. You two are bound in love emotionally and physically. She is yours and your hers not some strangers.

Exploiting that fact is just exploiting truth.
4/5 doctors would agree. Exploiting the truth and manipulating it are just a hairs breath away and that line is crossed all to often. Remember the curse of being intelligent is the ability to justify anything.

That's just a whole post of generality's.

Yes, exactly. I think the people who take a feminist perspective like that say "well those girls that like being exploited have been corrupted by views of our male-dominated society". To which I say - "b-b-b-bullshit".
Once again I do still agree with your core idea.

Haha, that was just a humorous counter-argument that I made. I wasn't serious about it. If I really wanted to present a serious argument about the benefits of porn to her, I would say that it is healthy because it helps relieve stress, and go find any number of studies that I'm sure have looked into and demonstrated that.

Is that a problem? I myself would consider that completely normal. You two are bound in love emotionally and physically. She is yours and your hers not some strangers.

No, I'm actually kind of glad she thinks that way, perhaps "problem" was a bad choice of words. If she didn't think that way, then I would wonder about things. But the fact remains that there is no way I would get emotionally attached to some porn chick. 2/3 of all women masturbate regularly. Most of them probably due it accompanied with some mental fantasy. For men, what's the difference between a mental fantasy and a visual one in the form of porn? After all, we have less imagination  :D.

I think you need to look more towards the rest of what I originally quoted
Quote
is that she doesn't like me looking at it and jerking it to hot porn chicks. To which I would respond "would you rather me just cheat on you in real life?"

The fact that you have repetitively place the hungers for the flesh so high. To you it seems above everything else, you make me wonder: If given the chance, would this person fuck around with another woman if there would be no repercussion? To that I really don't care if you did or would, but I certainly feel for you wife. If your internet persona is an accurate portrayal of your real one, a say you sir have a disgusting lack of self control.

I would also like to say that chrono eric just seems to thrive in these kind of topics

 It was obviously a joke. Taken out of context as you have taken it, one doesn't see that I was originally talking about the moral difference between "cheating" on her by fantasizing about another woman and literally doing it. The quote was not meant to imply that I would actually do it in the absense of porn, but that there is a difference between fantasizing about other women and partaking in a real-life sexual event with another woman. The former is not so bad for relationships, the latter is. That is the point I was trying to make, which you seem to hugely have missed and misinterpreted. Which isn't surprising, but is mildly irritating.

The if you accept the generality going one way in a discusion the ignore them the other way your flawed. In that post you mention that men are fine with being sex symbols, were easy, women pretend sex isn't important. Yet if know that there are exeptions though some men are not fine with sex, we are not all easy, sex is very important to some woman but if you accept that then you defending the point you agaisnt. A giant circle of nothing.

You can not say men or woman unless its an actual difference, like chemicals or anatomy, or else you stance will crumble pretty damn fast.

I'll go back to the first thing I said and state it a bit more bluntly," we're arguing over personal lifestyle choices". I think that fantasizing about other women and partaking in a real-life sexual event with another woman are both unhealthy choices in a relationship.

Some things can be debated well on the internet, some can not such as this. I might sound like an ignorant dumb ass, but you sound like a male chauvinistic pig.

you know, I would take you a lot more seriously if you could post without making a typing mistake every other word. As it is, you're saying that I'm defending the point that I'm arguing. No, I'm not. You're forgetting that the majority rules. if the majority of the people in the world found something to be cool, then it would be cool, thus making it fact. Doesn't matter what the minority says because they're outnumbered. It doesn't make it right, but that is the way it is. My argument is completely allowable within that context. I can say most men or most women, but the simple fact is that it slips my mind.

Oh, and you can love someone and still remain somewhat not physically attracted to them, rendering your argument null and void. For example: you're dating someone who is not very physically appealing, but you're in love with them because of their personality and the way they make you feel. Sex would not be the best it should be at that point because of it, but you love them enough not to cheat on them. Therefore you would fill in the blank by fantasizing about hotter women while still remaining faithful.

MILK

The best drink on the planet.  Surpassing the #2 drink (Ale) by a longshot.  Milk goes with any meal, and makes tons of good shit.  Yogurt, cheese, ice cream?  Yeah, all thanks to the godlike liquid known as MILK.

If you're lactose intolerant, I pity you.  You're missing out on one of life's greatest joys.
