Well as I obscurely implied in my last post, I love "Burguesa Burger." It is a new restaurant that, unless the quality slips, will become on par with my love of In&Out. They serve authentic Mexican hamburgers. If one is willing to ignore the conundrum of “authentic Mexican hamburgers,” they are terribly tasty (easily superior to standard fast-food hamburgers; In&Out being excluded). They presentation isn't the best, but Chick-Fil-A is the only fast food place I've ever found that has good presentation. However, the meat patties seem to be very high quality. And you can get avocados on it.
The beverages are also interesting. They reject "the devil," or "high fructose corn syrup" as it is usually called, and instead only use cane sugar. If you happen to find regular soda too sweet, these will definitely be that way, however. But they lack the usual fair: there is no diet coke, DP, Mt. Dew, Sprite, etc. They have Coke (with the afore mentioned sugar, so sometimes I've heard this called Mexican Coke), Lemon, and I think Lime flavored soda.
And they have fortune tacos. Why fortune tacos, I have no idea, but they're fun and tasty. Like fortune cookies, these have little non-fortune related messages in them, both in English and Spanish. Best of all, the cookie-taco-thingy tastes a lot like churro batter. Well, that is second best I guess. The best part is that they fortune tacos come with any hamburger.
The worst part is that it currently only has one location. Dallas. Despite the delicious food that can be found in Dallas, I generally recommend that people avoid the city whenever humanly possible. But if you can't and you need some fast food, Burguesa's well worth a try.
