I don't know if this was fixed or not, but when I was screwing around with only dialog and strings in an expanded ROM, some strange errors occured in 2.0

Well, only one that I know of, and its that when a character learns a new Tech or Double/Tripple Tech, it shows up garbled or otherwise glitched.

But it doesn't seem to effect gameplay at all, so I'm considering just going along with it.

But my real question is, for only dialog and string editing, should I switch from 2.0 to 2.55?

There's one thing I discovered.  For some reason I cannot click on the tiles on the map anymore.  If I do, it clicks the layer 1 tiles even though layer 1 is disabled.  So I have to figure out what tile is where in the selection area.  It's pretty strange.

Yes, some string things were fixed.

Alright then, I didn't get that far on this retry, so I'll just do some copy and pasting. Thanks.

Is there supposed to be more in the 2.55 7zip than just the Executable? Because its not working for me.

Or am I supposed to just replace the 2.50 executable with the 2.55, and leave the three .dll files?

Yeah. It's a fix, so just replace the 2.50 exe.

Alright, thanks.

And this may be out of your ability to help me on, but I can't get the CT Editor Companion by Blitzkrieg to work because I get this error on starting it. I would go to them about it, but their forum registration is broken, or at least refuses to let me register, and they don't have any other means of contact.

you can search for it on the internet and download it. just google it or yahoo and you should get it by the first couple of websites.

Blitzkrieg/JCE3000GT hosts the necessary file on his site.

Also, his forum registration isn't broken, but disabled for now because he's tired of spambots.

...There's only an .exe file. That means you still have to have all the DLLs that come with TF 2.50.

I've re-enabled registering for the moment.  If someone has a solution for me on the spambot issue please feel free to PM me or something.

Oh and Concord_Jet the files you need are here: http://www.blitzkrieg.finalconquest.net/ocx.rar.  Enjoy.

I think there may be a problem editing the [5] Kingdom of Zeal Overworld.  I was able to paste in new graphical tiles (by first copying the graphical tiles in the left hand panel) for all other Overworlds except this one.   Is anyone else having a problem with this?

Also, is there a comprehensive tutorial/manual available for temporal flux?  The manual that I found on the geiger website didn't have much of a tutorial.  After searching for this on google I'm pulling references to a manual from someone named Chickenlump but this doesn't appear to be available. If you have one, please email it to me at cory_714@yahoo.com.  Thanks for your help.

If you want to edit the floating islands, at the top select Map -> and uncheck Layer 1.  If you want to edit the sky, check Layer 1 and uncheck Layer 2.

Chickenlump's guide might be here on the Compendium somewhere.  Also there's a mini-FAQ on the Modification page.
