Someone remember when you choose don't save kid in chrono cross and you come back later Doc says that one person from the mainland had the Hydra Humour I think that that one was magus...

In one of the endings that was revealed to be Norris, I believe.

I like the Magus theory better, but I guess if one ending says one thing we've all gotta go with that.

If Norris beat Magus to the punch, I view it as evidence that Magus is, in fact, dead in the Chrono Cross timeline.  Hence Janus' "ghost" standing beside Kid as she reads Lucca's letter, perhaps. Either that or Magus is just too busy traipsing around the continent with queen Nadia, joining her in anti-Porre revolutionary activities.

Where Magus is during CC is unknown. I remember Lucca saying something about it in the letter to Kid. However, he probably died, because if he didn't I'm pretty sure he would've gone to help Kid and Schala.

And the people saying that shadow in Luccia's lab is Magus, get real people... It's probably just a graphical glitch, there's no evidence it's Magus.

But yeah, personally, I don't put much weight into the whole shadow thingy...unless I see VIDEO of it magically appearing when his name's mentioned (& even then...what's that prove?), I still think it's always there or something...*shrugs*

No, for some reason it's not there before Kid reads the letter.

And it could be that Magus didn't know of Belthasar's plans, but even Lucca and Robo were involved, and Lucca even died. I highly doubt Magus didn't notice anything about that.

Or maybe he's living in 12,000 BC. At the end of Trigger it states Magus is looking for Schala across time, but how the hell can Magus time travel by himself without the Epoch?

It's a big world out there, even if Magus was around that doesn't mean he would have any idea what was going on. So Robo and Lucca were involved, so what? I never got the impression that Magus cared enough about them to really keep in touch. Perhaps it was the entire "if you slow me down, I'll kill you" bit but he doesn't seem like the most loving individual around. Can't really see him stopping by the orphanage often (well, I say often. What I mean is ever).

Given that to his knowledge Schala may be anywhere in time and space, he has plenty of places to look besides El Nido.

And, wan't he described as wearing a mask as Magil in at least one scenario in RD? I might be thinking of Kid & the Sunflower...but it might have just been throughout...It's sort of been a while... *heh heh*
