Things that ya love, da-awg
« on: August 18, 2006, 07:15:58 am »
This is dedicated to confidant and well wisher, Lord J. May his heathen soul rest in peace :)

So, what do you love? I love everything from sleeping in, to The Clash. And that hot chick who catches my bus, but that is a totally different story, for a totally different thread.

And I also love the fact that threads like this need to exist.

And I also love another fact, that a handful of people would've taken that first line seriously.

Anyway, what I love? Many things, here's a few...

Gaming (Mainly RPGs, my collection is quite big)
Making fun of chavs, goths, ravers, emos, Dalton, etc.
Salt & Vinegar flavour crisps
Dr Pepper
The Rock Lee emoticon  :lee:
Dark Magician Girl

And many other things that evade my mind right now...

The end of TNG season 3 episode "Family". Picar'ds nephew symbolizes everything good about humanity in that scene, and the sudden appearance of such richness in stars and detail makes it hit hard. We will continue to dream forever. That scene capped off one of the best episodes in the series.

Good metal has a way of getting my heart pumping, and inspiring me to keep at it, whether it's the task at hand, or just troubles in life in general.

Most really good literature, be it Sophocles, Lucan, or Shakespeare.

Hmm, I like any and all forms of stories... whether they are shared through a game, a book, a show, a movie, a comic, etc...
I like mythology. I like comparing religions.
I like RTS games. But mostly RPGs.
I like some other games as well, but I tend to suck at them.
I like pretty much all music (yes, including country and rap and hip hop and r&b and oldies and classical and various forms of rock).
I love to read. I like to write and doodle, though I'm not very good at drawing yet, at least the way I want to be, but I believe my writing is decent.
I like daydreaming.
I love raspberries. And chicken is my favorite food, especially fried.
I like my manga collection. And most fantasy related novels.
I like having cute guys around, just for the eye candy and drooling opportunities.
I love most things dealing with humor.
I like things that smell really nice.
And the colors orange, purple and green.
I like the yin yang symbol.
I like being born in the year of Rat. And I'm quite content to be the scales.
I like my cat.
I love being lazy and having nothing to do.
I love blank notebooks, regardless of whether they have lined or unlined paper. I collect them, with the intention of turning them into journals, though I haven't kept a paper journal in a long time.  I like paper.
I like my computer.
I like anime.
I like all the seasons, they all have their nice moments.
I like Valentine's day and Christmas, even if I never get anything.
I tend to like cannon couplings in storylines as opposed to randomly thinking that two characters should be together.

....I like a lot of things.

I love anarcho-capitalist theory.

Most really good literature, be it Sophocles, Lucan, or Shakespeare.

I always considered Shakespeare to be something of a hack.

Really? How so? Hmmm... hey, you should start a topic on this, it would make for good discussion. Personally, I like his usage of words. I am the sort of writing that cares most about style and theme, and that Shakespeare seems to be rather excelling at. But, like I said, you should start a topic about that - I'd love to hear your reasoning on the matter.

Oh, and that's another thing I like: discussion and debating of that sort. I like it when opinions come into constructive conflict.

Didn't we already have that sort of discussion in Frog Talks Like Shakespear or something?

Anarcho-Capitalism! That is almost as crazy as Anarcho-Islam or Anarcho-Christianity! Anarcho-Communism rocks though. Or Anarchism in the UK.

I like how Lord J  futilely denies his tomato'ness.
I like that Ramsus is leaving in a few days.

I'm also a fan of Anarcho-facism, myself.

I really like this.

It reminds me of the Inner-Light episode, almost. The importance of the legacy of family. It was a very tender story, not necessarily the best TNG episode of all time, but one that really gets to you.
