A page from my ancient history:

http://web.archive.org/web/19991012200620/www.insidetheweb.com/messageboard/mbs.cgi/mb144933

Yeah, my first forum. By then, no one was really posting on it about GE 007.

You must've been about twelve or thirteen then. It kind of shows. =P

At the time of the most recent post in that thread, I was just a few days away from beginning my magnum opus!

After seeing the movie from above, I found this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rkc6IO_-hFg

It's Final Fantasy, has an English Sub, and even features a double tech from Reno and Rude. What do you want more? Of course, a fitting language, and what language is more fitting than German?

To my surprise, Seal has converted the front page of his site to a blog. No more months old news posts adorn it like a ghost town; in its place are candid photos and moments, and he seems to read the comments. I'm finding this fascinating. Seal seems to share an ideal of true love as expressed through his music, and now that's he's married and a father, he's stated that he is "complete". He seems to be having a fun time with life, and it's sort of inspirational.

Oh really? Neat. I loved that old song "Kiss From A Rose" so it's always neat to hear about these kind of things.

...why? Speed Racer was a moronic cartoon, like--sadly--most American cartoons. It was just basically Speed Racer racing in various places watching people's cars explode and using random devices from his car to get past obstacles...oh, and then there was the excess of screaming and odd sentence structure in everyone's speeches.

...unless I'm taking the parody I saw in the Fairly OddParent's Channel Chasers special--I watched it with my little brother because he wanted me to, and because my little brother is awesome I did it--far too literally...it has been many years since I saw the actual show.

American cartoons of the 70s and 80s, yeah. That was the long decline of animation and the rise of cheap Saturday morning merchandise crap and other lame stuff. Then Roger Rabbit and Batman: The Animated Series hit, and we're back to mostly normal.

It's a shame The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest didn't succeed, because the premise was beautiful. My crappy rough draft of why I think so is at http://questfan.com/wiki/index.php?title=Features .

Aye. One of my personal favorites of American animation is Gargoyles...though that might possibly have something to do with all of the Star Trek actors who voice acted for various characters...if I remember correctly, there was John Frakes, Marina Sirtis, Michael Dorn, and Kate Mulgrew...probably others too.

Aye. Though I have not read it yet, you are probably right on your theories, given how well you think these sort of things through.
