I guess it wouldn't make the best wallpaper, but that is one fine piece of fanart right there.

Man, I can't believe how clever "Axe Cop" really is -- the whole, "let's get a pro-level artist to illustrate a six year old's story" concept is pretty wild, and in a good way. Figures it would take a six year old to come up with truly unique plot ideas. I mean, Abraham Lincoln turning into a girl? I never could have thought of that! I don't even mean to joke about this; I wonder if this six year old is able to think outside the box easily because he hasn't consumed all the typical tropes yet, and hasn't had his thinking molded by them to some degree.

On the other hand, there's also "The Adventures of Shark Boy and Lava Girl," which resulted from a similar set of circumstances. But! Adults apparently did get their paws on the kid's story idea and re-worked it, whereas it would seem that in "Axe Cop," the child in question has full control over the plot.

In other news -- HOLY SHEEEEIT, THIS IS WHY I LOVE YOUTUBE! For the first time ever, I've seen a full playthrough of Street Fighter...like, the one that came before Street Fighter II. This is a major piece of gaming history I hadn't been exposed to until now, and to think it's been sitting on the Internet since 2007. The original seemed to suck -- mostly due to the lack of Chun Li -- but this is nevertheless an important footnote in gaming history, and I feel just a bit more enriched for having access to that digitaized historical document. Besides, even the first rendition of Street Fighter had some nice backgrounds. I'll have to install MAME and capture those babies some day.

Whoa, just came across this.

At first it seems like it's gonna be this average boy-band video, but then the singers get vaporized randomly by searing plasma vomit and laser eye beams. Just...stick with it, and you, too, might think this has been the weird highlight of your day. I'm still trying to figure out the meaning. I don't know if it is even possible to do so.

Song's not too bad, either. The refrain is very catchy.

EDIT: I'm fairly certain that eyebeamsman is CNN commentator Roland S. Martin, and that this fact is the key to figuring out the meaning of the music video. Compare for yourselves:

Eyebeamsman

Roland S. Martin

Can anyone tell if plasmabarfjesus here resembles any well-known TV or movie personality?
