Leaving for basic training...

I leave for Air Force basic training in 9 days, so I won't be around for a few months,  maybe longer depending on the phase program restrictions at my technical school (DLI in Monterey, California). Chances of being deployed to Iraq are slim in the Air Force, it's a great choice.

Those 7 weeks of training will fly by. I was going to go in, I believe the recruit depot was somewhere in Texas, but I changed my mind and decided education was more important while it was still fresh in my memory.

Also, Monterey has one of the nicest aquariums in the state, if not the country. I recommend checking it out if and when you get the time.

Well, I'll definitely be able to lose my several thousands of dollars of debt and come back with a shiny new Macbook Pro, the funding I need for finishing college, and most importantly, the military experience I've always wanted.
