Why not? I see no problem in this  :D  I've equiped the wooden katana while fighting lavos before...so...If I can kill Lavos with the wooden katana...I think he can kill his mom :)

I don't think lavos could just bitchslap the shit out of you and send you to your room without supper.

.... Hell, I think Crono's mom would have owned lavos in 5 minutes. 4 of them spent reading.

I would have to say Dalton. I don't exactly what I like about him, but I think it's his style and way of thinking, though in the end, all his efforts to conquer the world and Zeal failed miserably.
