Does anyone like Rush, Van Halen, or Pink Floyd?

Just tossing it out there...

Van Halen is awesome..

And there are some ppl who say I look like Pink Floyd's David Gilmour in his youth o.o (though I don't really think so)

What 'bout Whitesnake?

Pink Floyd became a shithole after Roger Water left. Or should that be Dave Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright left Roger Water?

So I've heard.

I like Time and Coming Back to Life mostly. Though there are some songs I have never heard. As for Rush, I love Leave That Thing Alone. Van Halen, I definately like a lot of their songs. Our Varsity girls Soccer team had Right Now as one of their warm ups played over the stadium during games.

I can't stand Rush. They don't do very good job "reviving" the sound of classic rock. One band that does immitate classic rock very well is Wolfmother. They weren't formed too long ago. They're from Australia. The lead singer sounds a little like Robert Plant and their guitarist is pretty badass also (although no where near as good as Jimmy Page or Hendrix, but who is these days except for MAYBE ALMOST John Frisconte from the Red Hot Chili Peppers?) They only have one CD released (it's self titled) so check'em out. I promise you won't be dissapointed if you're a fan of classic rock like me.

On the note of "emo" bands, some are pretty good. Taking Back Sunday is really good. However, I do agree that Nirvana was the downfall of REAL rock music. After Jimmy Page, mothers just stopped giving birth to extrordinary guitarists except for Van Halen and a few others. I like some metal, though. Mostly more of the melodic metal stuff instead of "extreme to the point where we scream entire songs and you can't understand a word we're saying" type of metal. Avenged Sevenfold is good, though. I HATE Disturbed and Slipknot with a passion.

But they ARE a Classic Rock band, from the mid-seventies. My brother tells me they're from the same time as Triumph.

ACK!!! I meant Jet. I always get the two mixed up. Don't know why, though. Rush was definately awesome.

Not a big fan of Green Day myself, although some of their stuff is very good. Bowling For Soup is really good. The All American Rejects are awesome, too.
