The treasure chest project
« on: May 12, 2006, 05:44:39 pm »
This is mainly for JLukas, I'm moving this over from Kajar labs:

well eventually we are probably going to have to get rid of all the old treasure chests but there's two really bad ones in this demo

7F0002   04   Mid Ether     02A   Forest Ruins
7F0002   80   Shelter       033   Porre Mayor's Manor upstairs 1000 AD
7F001B   20   Lapis         188   Mt. Woe

Alot of the others may have just gotten tiled over by a solid tile so were not noticing them.  But if you are ever walking around and hit an "invisible wall" press A and see if you open a chest.

No rush at all on this.  If you wanna wait till we have 3 or 4 of these feel free, I'm posting it cause I wanted to make sure that I have the right one.

7F001D   08   SonicArrow    196   Ocean Palace
7F0017   20   Full Tonic    12E   Tyrano Lair

In location 197 there's an invisible chest that gives you a Naveed (I'm assuming that's what we changed sonic arrow into).  Are the chests added based on the map and not the location (196 and 197 both use the same map).

The hardcoded treasure chests like these use the Location #.  I'll do another patch when there's a bunch to fix.

OK, here's three chests:   and also can you verify that the attached patches are safe to apply?

7F001D   08   SonicArrow    196   Ocean Palace
7F0017   20   Full Tonic    12E   Tyrano Lair
7F0017   40   mid Ether    12E   Tyrano Lair

First attachment:  Terra Tower:  Should replace Magus Lair
Second Attachment:  Flute:  Should replace red knife.
