But who is Poseidon? They need to somehow relate to Zeus/Serge and Hades/Lavos...

... although Lavos wouldn't really be Hades. Hades isn't necessarily evil. He just got dealt a bad hand. Who knows? This is hurting my brain and my hands...

Stole it sort of from Seinfeld. The one where the racer guy from some country in Africa calls everyone a bastard, including a woman's child, who is in fact a bastard.

Belthasar? So, after Crono got with his sister (who the hell would be Rhea, anyway?), he had a bunch of kids, including {Hera}, Serge, Lavos, Belthasar, and... who else? I forgot who all was Chronos' kids.

The Chrono Compendium - Marle bleeds sugar!
...- Sir, I think you've had enough sugar today.
...- Pipe down! I'll tell you when I've had enough!
...- This rich body and flavor that enchant the tongue...

^One of my favourite NPC exchanges.

Could Marle be Rhea? She and Crono certainly seem to like each other.

Suddenly, Marle-X-Crono seems incestuous.

Wait! I know who Rhea is! If Rhea is Crono's sister, and Crono == Magus, then shouldn't Schala be Rhea?

Okay, so Crono = Magus and Magus's sister = Schala, so... Crono and Schala hook up and have Serge, Lavos, {Hera}, {Poseidon}, and the others. Then, Serge (because he is Zeus) overthrows Crono and marries {Hera}, his sister.

Who is like a sister to Serge? ... Leena?

I'm pretty sure Magus would be Hades/Pluto...I think Lavos would be, idk...Ares/Mars? He's a red star, the god of war is represented by a red planet...I think it works...Plus, Magus even has a scythe named after the god of the underworld...

The Chrono Compendium - It's all Greek to me!

Nonononono, V. Hades doesn't carry a scythe. Hades is the god of the underworld, yes, but he's also the god of wealth. Saturn wields a scythe, as he is one of the gods of agriculture. Although I can see Lavos as Ares/Mars.

(note that the ~ means sort of equals in that context)

The Chrono Compendium - We have our own shorthand.

'' - Who is the Entity?

I think that, if we're going with Greek/Roman mythology, the Entity would be Chaos, responsible for everything. It made Oranos (or however you spell it) and Gaea, who then produced the Titans, who then produced the Olympians. I guess. I dunno, Krispen has a better handle on the classics than I do, so...

Who is like a sister to Serge? ... Leena?

I'd marry him to Harle. *drools a bit, but otherwise is stony-faced* Eh? *has noticed, and wipes his face annoyedly*

I would more so see Magus as being Hades, due to the fact that Hades was actually one of the friendliest gods in Greek Mythology. Zeus went around raping women constantly, Poseidon was just a giant dick and had a huge grudge against Odysseus because he insulted the size of his e-penor, all Hades did was chill in the Underworld and guide spirits to the afterlife. In fact, the impression that people usually get of the "Underworld" contradicts what it actually was; a place for souls to rest after their human lives had ended.

Yeah, Zeus ran around and never stayed with Hera, the goddess of marriage (must've pissed her off). I don't think Hades actually led the dead souls to the Underworld. Yeah, after checking Wikipedia, it's Hermes. Hera is very jealous, so Leena might be the best bet. Sorry, Shad, no Harle. Although she could be someone else... Poseidon, aside from being god of the sea, was also causer of earthquakes. Interesting... Chaos is the first state of the world, before the gods came into play (Entity much?), Chronos and Cronus are apparently two different things. Chronos is actually time, while Cronus is a god of agriculture and is often shown with time. Lavos could be Erebus, god of darkness and child of Chaos. Rhea is 'the mother of gods' it says, so... maybe Ayla?! Think about it! In some theories, without Ayla, we have no Magus or Schala, and without Schala (in some theories) there is no Guardia family!

Yeah, that Hades totally looks like Magus. The helmet actually lets him run around invisible.

I love Wikipedia.

The Chrono Compendium - It's deep, man.

He also kidnapped Persephone and took her as his bride, and dicked over Orpheus with a needless caveat.

Yeah, Hades stole away Persephone and caused winter. He's a dick. Will think over this later.
