Based on the plot thread, I presume we are just shy of being halfway through development (at chapter 7 of 16).  Is this a fair assessment of how far along we are, plot-wise?

It should be. The only bulky parts left to code afterwards will be the endings. The principal problem facing CE at the moment (since you and CyberSarkany are providing excellent help with the real hard part) is a lack of mappers. In the past, we've traded off good mapping for quick jobs that allowed us to continue coding (since coding gets the priority). I've been toying with the idea of mapping myself, but time has been tight. Fortunately, this is something we can recruit for, as basic mapping is a trivial task for those gifted in creative layouts. The hard part is tightening it up with Layer 3 / Level Z / Solidity values, but that can be done in post production. The important thing is to have a good template.

I've got really unexpected stuff in Real Life that keep me busy, but I hope to return to mapping soon (or late). Z-plane and priority allow for very interesting maps if they're laid out properly (with tricks, a map can have more than 2 superposed walkable "planes").
