Would you buy a console for a new Chrono game?

I'd be first in line.

I'd consider it, but I might wait until I have discretionary income or more games are out as a reason to buy.

I wouldn't buy a console just for a new Chrono game, no.

A test of dedication! If you had to buy a new console for a Chrono game, would you do it?

My one vote still stands, eh? Did the other 6 of you who viewed this thread figure taking two seconds to click an option wasn't worth your time?

I might, but I'd want to have plenty of money so it isn't a big waste of money. I'd probably also have to buy other stuff to use the console with too.

I might think about it first, maybe it'll be multi platformable or something. I'll definately get it if it's for PS3, since I never had a PS2 and I missed out on a lot of fun loool.

Well, I voted I would buy a system for it.  As long as the system doesn't cost an insane, trick-question amount.

I never bought CT or CC and my SNES and PSX were European models, so I think I'll gladly spend some cash on a new (NTSC?) system just for a new Chrono, for once.

Yeah it really depends. Revolution, yes. PS3, no. 360, yes. But I understand the questions so...no

just the opposite

since XBOX's games have officially sucked and every1 thinks Halo is amazing (<<tired of 1st person shooters) i got nothing against XBOX, it's ok, but i would never BUY 1

PS3 will be better, with better games, and SONY was smart not to release it before or right after the 360 launch

no console system debate here!! jus saying my piece

if it WERE to come out on PS3 or any other console though . . . i'd be compelled to get it, yet maybe something similar to Final Fantasy Chronicles might come out for Chrono Cross with a game pack of Radical Dreamers in the near future ?

Buy a new console for a new Chrono game??  Hell I'd reserve one!

Of course, this is coming from a guy who jumped ship from Nintendo to Playstation when he found out FF VII was going to be released on Sony's new machine, bought a more powerful computer just he could play FF XI, and bought a GBA for expressed purpose of playing Kingdom Hearts CoM.

I have no brand loyalty.  I go where the games I want to play are.

I bought a PS(1) solely for Chrono Cross.  The system cost $100 at the time of purchase.  I did have the ability to buy a lot of other RPG's I'd been missing out on for the past couple years after that too, though.  I'd probably consider buying a PS3 with a pricetag of $300 solely for a new Chrono game, but that's my absolute limit. And I think we all know PS3 is going to be a hell of a lot more than that.

2nd option's the most reasonable.

I'm half-tempted to get a cheapo PS1 in addition to the ps2 I have, considering I have to jump through hoops to get some games (The first disk of Chrono Cross, for example) to have a successful disk read. Anybody else get that a lot? I'm convinced my ps2 sux, as the disk's pretty damage-free.

Do you have a slim PS2?

I also got my Chrono Cross on eBay brand new never opened for $42

I don't know why the disk should be erroring . . .

Nope, my ps2's normal sized. It was used, so that might have something to do with it (although it only really does this on CC disk 1 in particular).

It works after I put a new game, take the game out, put a new game etc. Or it'll work on the first try.

I'm confused =/.
