Divine Dragon Falls
« on: January 25, 2006, 10:49:23 am »
A small note I found while doing its entry. Another World is the rule, not the exception; why then don't the pedestals meant for the Dragon Tear shards exist in Home World, which split off from Another?

Possible solutions:

*They were simply destroyed.

*Belthasar exerted manipulative power to have them not be copied over when the dimensions split (...yeah right)

*Another's were built after 1010 A.D.

Also, can someone tell me what music plays when Serge receives the Chrono Cross?

Hmm... as far as the name goes, I believe it's the victory music, i.e. Lucca's Theme.

In regard to the pedestals, I think they're destroyed... There aren't so many Divine Dragon Worshipers in El-Nido. Who knows, Maybe Porre officers destroyed the Pedestals when trying to keep the Divine Worshipers away. I doubt they'd want another religion, let alone of Demi-Humans, on their territory.

They don't?  I remember combining the Dragon Tears in Home World...

It's replaced by a small pond of water there.

Maybe the Pillars are special and can't be transferred over dimensions? O_o Like, they're bound to the Earth or something, and since Home World is messed up anyway, it probably doesn't have the same connection to the planet.

It's messed up dimension-wise, not planet-wise. Well, not yet, anyway!

The point is, I doubt the pillars themselves are special. They're devices who create Elements, not designed espically to create the Chrono Cross. Any Power Point could create the Chrono Cross, that was the only one remainin on El-Nido (Perhaps the whole world).

Again I say, they were probably destroyed by whoever. I'd like to point the finger on this incident on Porre, but it could well be something else.

Actually, if I remember correctly, the pedestals were upkept for the time when the two halves of the dragon tear would come together... Love and Hate.. Not any just power point can make the Chrono Cross. The Chrono Cross is the 7th and last element.

Where did you hear that? Why should they upkeep something which is a legend, and is in fact impossible with parallell dimensions?

Not a single quote implys that that Power Point is the only Power Point that can make the Chrono Cross.

You can't make the Chrono Cross without the two alternate shards of the Dragon Tear. Any other point would reflect it's own element. The pedestals are there for a reason. Heck, I think Steena's mentor knew about them, and so did Steena. Remember, Steena and that other lady know of this and probably played a part in the upkeep.

There is nothing we can do
   about the Dragon Tear...
   Its shattering result does
   not come as a surprise.
   However, you also carry
the fate of the Dragon Tear
   from another world.
   The broken pieces of
   love and hate: although
   contradictory, they are two
   sides of the same coin...
   A mysterious force may
   come to light when the
   two pieces are united...
   Perhaps this force will be
   the legendary Chrono Cross...
The only problem is, the shrine,
which is said to give life to the
Chrono Cross, is nothing but a
   cavern inside Divine Dragon Falls.

   Serge....
You may hold the key to
   bringing forth its powers.

The Divine Dragon Falls IS the powerpoint to create the Chrono Cross, and only it by game evidence. Serge plays a part, probably with his afflication with the TD and Arbiter since he himself has love and hate invested in him, just like Kid, Schala, Harle etc.

Oh yeah, and The actual pedestals ARE only in Another World for whatever reason
Quote
Steena:
   By the Great
   Dragon Gods!!!
   The sacrarium of the
   Divine Dragon Falls
   still exists...and
   it seems functional!
   It's just as the
   legends of old said
   it would be!
   What a blessing!

Steena:
   Utilizing its power, we
just may be able to create
   the '"Chrono Cross"' here!

Steena:
   Try placing the two
   pieces of the Dragon
   Tear...
   The Tear of Hate and
   the Tear of Love...
   on these stands.

Quote
Steena:
   Great Dragon Gods!
   We are yet unable to
   utilize the altar...?
   I know that we need
   the six Dragon Relics
   that offer up divine
   supplication...
   Could 'that' legend be
   true... Is there a
   seventh dragon, and a
   seventh Element...!?!

Yup, Harle does reflect the 7th element XD But she isn't it.

I'm sure any Power Point would work, but that specific one was the ONLY ONE ON THE ISLANDS.

Please revive discussion on this topic.

What is it about Another world that means the Chrono Cross can only be forged there? What if we make that assumption?

Maybe it was forgotten, or maybe since the CC is from the planets true power, and Another World seems to be the true stem of the dimension, then maybe the reason what the CC platform would be in Another World is because that is the world where in the future, The planet lives and it has the ability and power to create such an object.

Maybe because Serge is "missing" from that dimension that his prescene is needed for the Cross to be completed, but since he is not present at all in Another he has to phsycially be ther for the Cross to form.

Someone jog my memory.  In which world is Terra Tower in?  Was is only Another, or was it in Home as well?  If it's only in Another, there may be a connection since it's the Dragonians/Reptites that the Dragon Tear came from... (Of course I'm not sure how this would explain the tears being in both worlds from the start)

I would agree that because Serge died in Another might be a key as to why the pedastals are present in Another.  Perhaps Dinopolis had a plan to erect them by proxy if FATE became a problem (as it does in Another).  Yeah, it's far-fetched..
