Chrono Trigger Translation Question

Being new to the forums, I am not sure if this topic has been covered.  However, I am curious as to whether or not someone has re-translated Chrono Trigger through an IPS patch or some other method.

Unfortunately, not at this time. I'm not sure if one is being undertaken, either. A small translations FAQ exists at Gamefaqs Chrono Trigger site, but I'm sure you've seen it.

Sky Render Translations wanted to retranslate it, but it loox like they gave up or something  :(

I'd be wary of any attempts at a translation for a game as popular as Chrono Trigger. A lot of the people going into such an endeavor might let their personal interpretation of the game bias their efforts. What I'd really like to see is a completely literal translation (with phrasal annotation) that would then be scrutable by anyone who speaks English.
