naga

In modern fantasy fiction, members of a race with both snake and human characteristics (usually having only a human head) are often called nagas. This comes from the legendary creatures called nagas in Hindu mythology.

"ette" makes them female. In CT they're human from the torso up and snake downwards.

In Final Fantasy IV, their are monsters called Nagas with snake body and a human head.

The Naga are generally a snake/human race.  In WarCraft 3, the Naga are Snake/Elves.

A Naga-ette is basiclly a lamia in looks. So it's a lamia, with a weird name. At least to me, anyways.

Another "Woolseyism". It was translated to be a 'bromide' from some kind of womens underwear, I don't remember exactly what. Yes, the old man is supposed to be a pervert. What's a Toriyama product without a perverted old man? ;)
