I don't mean to offend, but that is a terrible first post.  Please read the posting guidelines carefully.

Besides the fact that having a Guard in Metroid doesn't make any sense...at all.

And you posted this in another forum here.
The graphics for SMILE aren't drawn from the ROM file, they are loaded from picture files, to reperesent enemies. There is no CT enemies in Super Metroid, at all.

It would be MUCH different if you had posted an in-game screenshot of it (AKA : Proof). If you want though, you could learn how to hack ROMS and put one in there. :)

Metroid is one of my favorite non RPG games.

On topic, like everyone on that forum, you are just showing us that picture from this site. Could you show us a picture from SMILE?

It's OK, alot of people don't know that SMILE doesn't read it's enemy graphics from the ROM itself. :)

But, for future reference, don't link to a picture as proof, especially if that picture is only a picture of the sprite. It's kind of like me saying...

Look! Mario is in Super Metroid!
Here's a picture!

You posted a link to a picture that was hosted on the Chrono Compendium, only showed the Guard, and no Metroid ANYTHING in the background or foreground.

Actually, I think SMILE at one time or another, used the same Mario Sprite as one of it's enemy placeholder graphics. O_o

Er, what exactly *is* this SMILE you peeps are referring to? I don't really understand what's going on...the link brought me to a forum, not a link >_>.

Super Metroid Integrated Level Editor (or something like that). It is a program, created by Jathys, that edits levels, among many other things, for the SNES game Super Metroid. It's quite an impressive editor, and has quite a few features. I've never played Super Metroid much, but I remember enjoying what little of it I did play.

The version on that page may or may not be the latest version of the program, as Zophar.net has had a severe case of no-update-itis for the longest time.

Its better to lock the topic which doesn't contain all the relevant information.

Topic was moved to general discussion.

Interesting...so a sort of Temporal Flux for Super Metroid except with different capabilities/limitations? That sounds pretty cool.

Yeah, a lot of people want to edit their favorite games nowadays. They even have a editor for Legend of Zelda, A Link to the Past. (Awesome game btw)
