Pfft, young earth. The universe was created billions of years ago. period.
It is not "period." The virtue that makes us different from Young Earth Creationists is our willingness to provide compelling evidence. From orbital space telescopes to mile-deep ice cores drilled in the Antarctic, there are any number of independent methods to corroborate the age of the planet, the age of the solar system, and the age of the entire universe.
Also, you might consider a better wording. Instead of saying "the universe was created billions of years ago," which might not be true because of the word
created, you could instead say "the universe
began billions of years ago," which is definitely true regardless of your religious opinions.
