Well, the FF4 on PSX was the actual version that was released in Japan, while FF2 US was the easytype version that was released in Japan. So we got the easy version, with an interesting translation. The only difference between the two SNES versions was the easytype was easier and had fewer spells/items/bosses. That was the only difference. FFIV on the PSX is the hardtype SNES version that was only in Japan, with an updated translation (including cussing, which is completely unnecessary), the ability to run, an FMV, and painful loading times.
I like the PSX version better, but I'll play the SNES version simply because A) I'm a SNES fanboy =p and B) shorter loading times. Even though walking around slowly does drive me nuts.
