I can't Believe I Never Noitced This Before
« on: October 12, 2005, 08:42:52 pm »
I've been playing Trigger for about 6 or 7 years now, played the game in its entirety about 250 times, and it amazes me I never noitced this until just now.

Whenever I've fought the 2nd form of Lavos (where you destroy the two arms), I've always seen him as being a cyclops, with the big center eye.  After seeing a cover to the CTNP, featuring Lavos with some translucency, I JUST noticed that he actualyl has two more eyes beneath that.  Wow, pathetic.

Mmmh, I did the opposite: I never noticed until now that he had a third eye in the middle...

I don't remember... it had Lavos as being transparent though.

It shouldn't affect anything though.  Looking at his normal sprite you can easily see it.  I think the way it blended in with the background made me notice it this particular time.

Seems as though I'm one of the few geniuses who realized off-the-bat that Lavos' second form was a, for lack of a better term, triclops...>_>

Here's a pic just in case anyone was wondering wtf people are talking about...

Honestly, I don't think I ever realized that he had that third eye as well...interesting.

Who even knows whether one of those three "spots" is an eye at all?

16-bit sprites always looked pretty abstract to me.

The sprites of the Gurus always looked hard for me to interpret as well, especially Belthasar. Where are that man's eyes?!

His eyes are sort of hidden under his eyebrows, like Radius or himself from CC.

In Chrono Cross, I believe Belthasar's eyes are visible; just closed.

You know what, I was the opposite too.  Never noticed the big, center eye, only noticed the bottem 2.

I noticed it right off too, lol. Never really thought anything of it.
