Apparently Horii himself let it slip at a talk that happened just today. The accounts say he mentioned it casually, someone with him whispered something in his ear, and then he looked a bit shocked like he said too much.

Came to post this, obviously taking it with a grain of salt since I haven't seen a single video that actually confirms what they're saying, only people assuming he said that.

Not surprised. I will not believe in a Trigger remake or new game until I see straight from Square Enix. I've given up on even entertaining rumors.
