Temporal Flux manual updated
« on: January 22, 2007, 03:36:16 am »
I have updated the reference manual for Temporal Flux, current as of TF version 2.55.
I don't believe I've forgotten anything too important... >_>

There's a copy on romhacking.net, but I've heard it's somewhat dated at this point.

Thanks I'll take a look. I think I saw that you were posting some walkthroughs on youtube too. I'll have to check those out. I'm just getting started. Need to start by figuring out where to change start location lol. I'll get there.

Zakyrus was doing the YouTube tutorials.

While you can change the startup location by enabling File -> Patches -> Startup Location, I prefer to keep location 0 as the startup location and changing things from there.

If you go to Window -> Locations and click on Events for Location {000} Load Screen, you'll see the code for the load screen's events.

Everything is done in one object on this one. The labels in brackets, [xxxx], are hex offsets in the event packet. You can change these, but they won't save.

At [00E3] is a ChangeLocation to Location {1F0}, the present overworld. This is where the intro cutscene begins.

Those will be available soon, I've last worked on audio recording/narration for the videos, after editing those, throwing in various internet memes (relevant to content) and a few other edits, there will be uploads. Hopefully, I'll have 4 or 5 of them released before the New Year.

Happy hacking!

Would anyone reading this happen to have a manual for a version more recent than 2.55? I understand that the manual might not have been updated by anyone since 2007.

Edit: maybe the changelog is enough and we don't need a more up-to-date manual! I missed it at first.
