So I have misplaced my copy of the DS version of this game and I checked Amazon and it's $100+!!!  Anyone know where I can get one for cheaper than that outside of ebay?

Don't know about a cheaper DS version, but you're probably likely to find it way cheaper than that if you get the mobile version. Unless you can recover your misplaced cartridge.

A couple GameStops near me have it for $24.99, and it seems you can order it through their site.

Oh, so you settled for the mobile port? That's good.

I never got any of the DS releases. Save for IX, but it got stolen. I'd say, it was a good thing those mobile ports came since now I had the chance to try the DQ series. I already got I-III, plan to get IV-VI eventually; and at least VII and VIII got their 3DS remakes (and already got VIII's). Now I wonder for IX. I don't really want to emulate... oh well, perhaps something will come up.

It's the easiest for me, plus then I can play it at work if I want. Ha ha! also then I can play it on my iPad Pro... so for me, it's just so beneficial when I can purchase from the App Store.
