What do you think, is it possible to transfer new content from the DS version to the PS1 version?

How different is the rom coding? How easy is it to expand a ps1 rom(if necessary)?

In Chrono cross I have no problems. But with the trigger I don't know yet

The biggest obstacle is no one has really researched the PS1 version. The limitations and how-to are unknown.

Perhaps I'll try from DS in SNES. It should be easier... probably  :)

What exactly is your goal here?

DS to SNES would require some significant hacking - DS content will put you over the SNES version's limitations.

Those are likely not the limitations Mauron is talking about. The main limitation that the DS version would definitely violate is that it has many more enemies than the SNES version. The SNES version has only 256 enemy slots, and nowhere near enough unused entries to fit in DS enemies. Enemies would have to be expanded from a one-byte range to a two-byte range, which would make it difficult to select these new enemy slots in the editor.

I think maps and items would also break the current numbers.
